Brainstorming The Game of 2006

 

Public Relations: January 19, 2006 "Yesterday me, Sam, Cindy, and Mark went to SIMPOLT to talk to them and ask for $750. After we presented they fed us lunch. We got the money and are saving it for the nationals fund. Tomorrow we are going to Wal Mart to do the same thing. Tonight there is a Parent Meeting to talk about the comp. I am going to get t-shirt prices (later that night) after school. I went to New Day Products and got a quote for shirts. Our T's are $9 and polo's are $13. We are going to get the gold shirts with the 4 color silk screen. This evening I made a poster that has our logo, schools, and our main sponsers, so that we can show off to Walmart tomorrow."

Chassis Design: January 24, 2006 "Possibity of using transtion wheels instead of wheel chair wheels for better ramp accessabilty. Possible belt from Snake River Supply Company have one in stock that might work but checking for better possible belt opportunities. Today with the harvester half of the chassis group, we decided the path between the top of the conveyer belt and the shooter. We also decided on having another path at the top of the conveyer belt that goes into a ball bin. From there we would have a gate that would fold down into the corner goal. "

Gadgets: January 21, 2006 "We deicided on not using idlers. We had Karsten calucate the distance to show that the chains would not clip. We also elaborated more on our schmatics and started looking at how to build and what materials."

3DS AVA Animation: January 31, 2006 "Animation is processing very well. Will be done soon. Cows Taste Good!!!"

Website Design: Feburary 9, 2006 "Today I as finsihing up the last page of the website! I will hopefully post tomorrow and I am really tired. I will have some extra help from my 3DS boyfriend and he can help me meet my deadline. He's my hero gorilla man."

AutoDesk Inventor: Feburary 7, 2006 "I am a man of few words."

Programming: January 19, 2006 "We have been able to hook up the camera and get it to transfer images that are clear and we were able to get it to trace colors. We are using (Y)(Cr)(Cb) configuration allowing us to track a color regardless of intensity and saturation. This is a more accurate and less pone to tracking abstract color than using the default RGB. The next step is to clear up the image, have it track more accurately and move the servos keeping the target at the center of the screen. The tracking system uses a min y , max y, min y, max y style. It creates a box around the target color thing until finds its middle (x, y). This is important because we can filter out voice allowing a clean tracking system. Unfortuatly, to alter camera modes IFEX values are needed but some idiot decided to use decimal instead, forcing me and cute Caroline to convert back and forth in order to confige the camera. I hope he/she falls down some stairs for causing such grief. If you didn't understand that at all, just look up how a color TV works and you'll catch on. Use File (MUcam_2-fe manual.pdf)"

Electronics: Feburary 7, 2006 "We have the board built. The breaker is on the second board. We relized that the Lexan was too felxible to trip the breaker, so we put a stand-off from the vex kit underneath it for added support. We also have the drive motors hooked up to the speed controllers."
